Ho Ho Ho

Over at Try it on Tuesday our challenge for the next 2 weeks is It’s all about Santa.

For my Santa page, I started by covering the background with Tumbled Glass and Speckled Egg Distress Ink; painting the inks onto the page, like watercolour, vertically down the page. Next I stamped a script Christmas stamp by Paperbabe Stamps and some mini snowflake stamps, over the background, using Faded Jeans Distress Archival Ink. Then I fussy cut the Santa and reindeer image on the left-hand side and stuck it onto the page with two other Santa images; one was a recycled tag which I framed with gold border outline stickers and the other was a topper by Hunkydory. To finish, I added the glittery red snowflakes which were foam stickers and the “Ho Ho Ho” wording.

For more inspiration please pop over to Try it on Tuesday to see the amazing creations from our Guest Designer and my Design Teamies too (grin!). I hope you are inspired to join our challenge; it would be lovely to see you there!

As T Stands for Tuesday, I’m sharing a Rosey Nosey beer hand pump; as you can see, I forgot to include the pint of beer in my photo but luckily there are plenty of other drinks in the bottles in the background for me to qualify for TSFT this week – Happy T Day everyone!

Hope that you’re all staying safe and well!

Thanks for joining me today! If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.

  1. I love how well all these Santa images work together, even though they are from different places, including a recycled tag and a topper. Very clever entry and a beautiful background. This is also a wonderful entry for your theme at AJJ, too, although I must confess I have seen yellow snow, but never red snowflakes (grin).

What a fun entry for T this week, too. Lots of bottles in the background, but the red nosed Santa is so cute. thanks for sharing your art and your Santa with us for T this Tuesday, dear Jo.

  2. What a fun page Jo. I love all the Santas, and that Ho-ho-ho is a great eye catcher. And your Rosey-Nosey label on the beer tap is another very fun Santa. How was the beer? How a great week. hugs-Erika

  3. Jo i never would have thought of making the snowflakes red! But it really works well! I do apologize for being late for T . I do have a doctors excuse though! lol I swear … not 5 minutes after i linked for T hubby walks in and says.. ‘ We need to go to the hospital!’… He had tried to cut off his fingers with a power tool! … sigh… So several hours, 12 stitches and one broken finger later he’s … okay… Happy Belated T day! Hugs! deb

  4. Such a beautiful background created with those two Distress colours. Two of my favourites and most used. The subtle wording in the darker blue looks so good as a background to your lovely Santa pictures. All of which marry well with one another. Great with the red snowflakes and words to finish off.
Like the beer pump, very apt.
    Hugs, Neet xx
