Today I’m sharing a thankful journal page and wishing all of you that are celebrating this week – a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I started by covering the chipboard page with some scraps of neutral coloured papers; I cut the papers into triangles before collaging them onto the page and then I applied some Pébéo white gesso over the top using my finger. I added the framed wording “when I count my blessings I count you twice” which was a sticker from Kaisercraft and the “Be thankful” wording which was washi tape. Next I added two flowers from a Tim Holtz Ephemera pack and two die cut autumnal leaves that were coloured using Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. To finish, I added two little chipboard owls.

For our wedding anniversary last month, we went to a new local Chinese restaurant called “Blessings House” and had the most amazing time (smile!).

The beautiful picture on the wall is cross stitch and was sewn by one of the restaurant’s family – it was very detailed and must have taken ages to create!

We had the lunch buffet with starters and soup; our choices were Sweetcorn and Crabmeat soup and one of each of the starters which were Curry Samosas, Spring Rolls, Salt and Pepper Chicken, Spare Ribs, Chicken Satay, Prawn Toast and Seaweed.

We shared our mains of Chicken in Satay Sauce, Sweet and Sour Pork and Chicken with Mushrooms – it was all so yummy and very filling!

I forgot to take photos of our drinks at the restaurant, so as T Stands for Tuesday, I’m sharing a couple of pints that we enjoyed at the pub around the corner on our way home (smile!) – Happy T Day everyone!
I hope you’re all staying safe and well! x
Thanks for joining me today! If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.

Your Thanksgiving album is SO pretty! I don’t do a lot of mixed media at the moment but I miss making albums. Anything in book form is fun and inviting.
Oh wow, what a work of art! That cross stich is amazing and I love the scene. Your meal looks like a wonderful variety of Chinese foods. That is exactly what I would pick for my anniversary. I just LOVE Chinese food!
Happy Thanksgiving and Tea Day,

Your journal cover looks wonderful. I love the quote. Wow! Cross stitch? Even Mr. M. was impressed. Really beautiful. The food looks amazing. I am not a face of Chinese food but this looks very good. Have a wonderful evening and a very happy TG.

Beautiful thankful journal page. I love the collage and I have never seen such a neat collage! I might try the triangle technique. 🙂 Your restaurant reminds me of our favorite restaurant that we went to on our anniversary. Pictures on the wall, only at ours it was a painting not a cross-stitch, even the tables are like our restaurant. Ours was a mom & pop Italian restaurant that has been around for over 50 years. We are not fans of Chinese food, but we do like sweet and sour. I am glad you had a good anniversary. Happy T Day.

Such a beautiful page with lots of great details!
Always nice to enjoy a new restaurant! The food looks delicious and how beautiful and detailed the cross stitching is! My aunt used to cross stitch large pictures but I am sure they were smaller than this one. Just amazing!
Thank you so much for sharing with us at Four Seasons challenge!

My sincere apology for taking so long to visit. I realized I needed to drag myself out of bed and see your journal page and what you had offered for T this week. I’m definitely not a very good host, but I want you to know I greatly appreciate your visit and for linking this week. Your Thankful journal entry is wonderful and thanks for wishing all us in the states a great Thanksgiving. It
‘s a beautiful entry for AKK and Bleubeard’s and my theme.
Happy belated anniversary. Loved the buffet and now surprisingly, I am suddenly hungry. Thanks for joining T this Tuesday, dear Jo.

My brain is fried and I am out of it, but I know it should have been AJJ and I should have also checked spacing before I quickly pressed Publish.

I left you a comment and it got eaten. I said something like my brain is addled, but I know it is AJJ and I should have checked for spacing, too before I hit Publish.

I have been collecting the odd leaf or two when I visit the chiropractor in the town centre in Preston. I could swear they are almost identical to the ones you have diecut on here. Colour, shape, everything.
A most pleasing and different Thanksgiving page that you are showing us today. I do like the way you have collaged shapes to provide the back cloth for the lovely words of thankfulness.
Great food and drink.
Hugs, Neet xx

Oh wow I love your AJ page here! The elements all come together beautifully with your patterns and “thankful” elements too! That x-stitch piece looks amazing! I used to do lots of that years ago and wonderful if I even have the eye-sight for any more! LOL Glad that you’ve had a wonderful Anniversary celebration!!

I like your page today Jo. That cross stitch in the restaurant is amazing. I used to do cross stitch and I went to an exhibit one time and there were similar sized pictures there where people had written how long they had taken to stitch and some of them were a couple of years! Still looking after sick kitties, so I’m very late to the party. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
