So Beautiful

It’s time for a new challenge over at Try it on Tuesday, which for the next 2 weeks is Autumn Colour or Scene.

I love autumn and this challenge gave me the perfect excuse to use lots of autumnal stamps and some pretty autumnal stickers; I hope you like it!

I started by creating the background using a VersaMark Watermark ink pad and some brown embossing powder; I did this by dragging the ink pad over the page and stamping the leaves before I covered everything in the embossing powder and using a heat gun. I added some of this diluted Ground Espresso Distress Ink as a wash over the page and then stamped the autumn wording “Hello Autumn”, “Autumn the year’s last loveliest smile” and “Autumn Blessings” using Ground Espresso Distress Archival Ink. Next I added all the colourful autumn leaf and acorn stickers, and to finish I added a Pocket Card by Tim Holtz and a yellow banner by Simple Stories, which reads “so beautiful”.

For more inspiration please pop over to Try it on Tuesday to see the amazing creations from our Guest Designer and my Design Teamies too (grin!). I hope you are inspired to join our challenge; it would be lovely to see you there!

As I was making this page, I was reminded of our autumn window display which you can see here. As T Stands for Tuesday, I’ve also included my cup of Cinnamon Orange tea – Happy T Day everyone!

Hope that you’re all staying safe and well!

Thanks for joining me today! If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.

  1. I enjoyed seeing the combination of embossed leaves with the stickers. The contrast was perfect. It’s definitely a fun page that says autumn in a subtle way.

I always love seeing how you decorate your autumn window. I love that pumpkin in the foreground that looks like it was made with horseshoes. Your cinnamon orange tea sounds like a winning combination, too. Thanks for sharing your fun journal page, your autumn window, and your tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Jo.

  2. I love your autumn page Jo. I’m with you when it comes to this season. The weather is usually nice, the nights are good for sleeping, the leaves are pretty, etc. I like how you used all those leaves on your page. And that is a great display in your house, and nice mug for T too. I hope you have a great T day (or the rest of it) and week ahead. Hugs-Erika

  3. Your arrangement of fall leaves and flowers is very nice. I think I will imitate it! We only have the beginnings of the red leaf season, though.
