Love Hearts

Over at Try it on Tuesday our challenge for the next 2 weeks is All Loved Up.

My art journal page is all loved up with hearts, flowers and words; this time it was created just from collage materials.

I started by covering the page with some stripes of lace, star and old wallpaper designed decoupage and tissue papers using Liquitex matte gel medium. Then I stuck a silver outline sticker vertically down the right-hand side of the page and some pink border and flower stickers from Kaisercraft horizontally across the page. Next I added the two large which I intertwined together with some ribbon; they were recycled from a banner. To finish I added the wording and small hearts which were from some Kaisercraft Sticker sheets.

For more inspiration please pop over to Try it on Tuesday to see the wonderful All Loved Up creations from our Guest Designers and my Design Teamies too (grin!). I hope you are inspired to join our challenge; it would be lovely to see you there!

For the sake of brevity I’m no longer listing the individual items that I used to create my page, however I’m more than happy to let you know which particular product was used if you contact me via comments below or using the following contact me link.

To match my page and as T Stands for Tuesday, here’s my green tea in a mug with a pretty pink heart on it that I often have at my friends house – Happy T Day everyone!

Hope that you’re all staying safe and well!

Thanks for joining me today! If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.

  1. I love all the Valentine themes this week, especially the way that vintage wallpaper patterns seem to be a natural way to decorate. I hope everyone gets chocolate with their Valentimes!

  2. This is a fun romantic page Jo. I love the bits and pieces you used, and especially those big hearts. I like the texture you added to them with the red ribbon too. And nice mug for T day. You are ready for the 14th, or like me, you just like hearts. Have a wonderful T day and week ahead. Hugs-Erika

  3. What an absolutely perfect journal page, Jo. I love those hearts and collage is definitely your style. This is a beauty. The wallpaper is fabulous. It is old and romantic. I also love the flowers you added to the page. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Bleubeard’s and my theme.

Your mug fits the theme so beautifully, too. Most impressive the way you combined it with your lovely journal page. Thanks for sharing your lovely art and matching mug of tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Jo.

  4. How well does that starry paper look with this theme! The border pieces you have used remind me of Victorian cards and they work so well with the hearts. A lovely romantic page Jo.
    Hugs, Neet xx
