I created this page to remember the amazing time that we had at the cinema watching the live André Rieu concert from Maastricht which was a belated birthday present from my hubby (grin!).
I started by covering the background with The Blue Danube sheet music by Johann Strauss II as he happens to be my favourite classical composer and this was one of the pieces of music that was played during the concert. I stamped around the edges of the page using some of the floral Musicality stamps from Docrafts and black Archival Ink. Then I applied some Gold Champagne Faber-Castell Gelato and black Faber-Castell Big Brush Marker, smudging the colours with my finger. Next I fussy cut André Rieu, the title and the list of music from the programme that we were given and stuck them onto the page. I also stamped “Kings of Disco” and added it to the list of music as they were the surprise guest act for the concert finale which was amazing too. I added a striped border of stickers to the title “André Rieu Shall we dance?”, two gold glitter corners to the list of music and some gold swirls and dots to the background which are Glitterations stickers. The red roses and flowers are rub-on transfers and to finish the page, I chose three Small talk stickers from Tim Holtz which read “the music of my heart”, “Professor of Music” and “being enchanted”; they are edged with the black Faber-Castell Big Brush marker.
The André Rieu Maastricht 2019 concert was shown across cinemas in the UK and we went to The Flower Bowl to watch it in comfort on our very own sofa. The music and atmosphere was magical, we forgot we were at the cinema as it felt like we were transported there (grin!).
As T Stands for Tuesday and I thought this gold coffee set would match my page nicely, I’m sharing this beautiful set which was on sale at our local auction rooms. For cat lovers and those who prefer tea there is also this pretty tea pot too – Happy T Day!

I absolutely love how you built this page up. The finished effect is worthy of being displayed as an advert for the film or just for Andre Rieu himself. I just wish the great man himself could see this – it is fabulous. So glad you did it, enjoyed the film, and shared it with us all at AJJ.

What a wonderful concert that must have been. I love the background paper you chose and your page looks like it belonged on the marquee at the theater. Ma has some demitasse cups but hers are silver. And you had me at the cat teapot. Happy T Day

A super gift Jo, a comfy sofa and good music sounds good to me. Probably you had better seats than the folk at the actual concert.
Its a wonderful journal page you created.
It was good to see the china and tea pot on show in your local auction house. I do like a look around on viewing days, its perhaps as well its a car journey to see the ones nearest to us. Less chance of thinking maybe I should leave a bid.
Happy T day wishes Jo.

What an impressive journal page, Jo. This is clearly a winner. I agree it could go up on a marque. It is so lovely, and I was so impressed by the gold you added, too. You always create amazing art, but this one was even more special. I suspect because it held such personal feelings and was a gift from your dear husband. Not only is it impressive in its own right, it is a fabulous entry for Art Journal Journey. Erika’s theme was well represented. Thanks for all the support you give us there, too.
We don’t have auction houses in Wichita, so those pieces you photographed were special. Of course, Bleubeard was even MORE impressed (and got a big head) because you shared a cat, too. Thanks for showing these beauties with us for T this Tuesday, dear.

What a super gift! To go to this very special cinema and watch Andre Rieu! Lucky you!
Going to one of his concerts is a long time dream of mine. He does come to Spain but the prices of the tickets are out of our range. I will content myself watching him on Youtube.
Your page is lovely. It’s a proper advert for him really.
The ‘golden’ cups are gorgeous. And I love the cat tea/coffee pot.
I’m sorry I am late in commenting. We’ve been away camping on the coast and there was no wifi on the campsite.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
