As Santa is on his way, over at Try it on Tuesday our new challenge for the next two weeks is Guess Who’s Coming? …. Santa, where you will find some amazing creations from my Design Team teamies to inspire you!
We would like to see a Santa somewhere on your creations, so here’s my Santa related art journal page – I hope you like it!

I started by covering the page with some Santa decoupage paper using a glue stick. Then I used some green card from a topper set which I cut into a rectangle and some strips, they are all edged with gold border outline stickers. I stuck them in place using double-sided tape along with a framed Santa image from the same topper set and an envelope addressed to Santa. Next I embellished the page with some gold relief stickers; this included Santa’s sleigh filled with gifts, snowflakes and stars and also some holly and candy canes which I added to the background. To finish, I added three 3D stickers of a candy cane, some holly and a little robin.

This pretty shop is in Lytham and is full of interesting items for the garden; it always has lovely displays that cascade onto the street front. It’s where our friends bought the metal Mushrooms for our garden, you can see them here.

It reminded me of my page with all the Santa memorabilia (grin!).

We always enjoy meeting up with our friends for a walk and a drink so whilst walking in Lytham we went to a café called Zest.

As T Stands for Tuesday I’m joining the T Gang with my hubby’s hot chocolate – yum! Happy T Day everyone!
Sorry I haven’t been around the last week or so, my Dad has had heart surgery and I’ve been busy visiting him and helping my mum whilst he has been in hospital. I’m pleased to say he is home now and doing ok – yay!

This is a fun Santa piece and I hope Santa answers your letter.
The little robin looking on in the corner is just right.
I did notice you were missing (we do miss our blogging friends) and am so glad your Dad is home and getting better. He’ll be pleased to be home for Christmas, I think.

First, I’m SO glad to read your dad is better and out of the hospital. That is great news. Second, I had to reboot so I could leave a post. Can’t figure that out, but it seems to work, at least once after I reboot.
I was quite intrigued by your Santa page. Imagine my surprise when I read his gold sleigh was actually a sticker. I bet THAT was fussy to get on the page with no bubbles. The entire piece is a work of pure art and genius. Even better, I am thrilled you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey.
Your trip to the garden center is fabulous. So much eye candy and lots of interesting pieces, too. Although a bit cluttered, it was really not bad considering they had so many lovely pieces they wanted to display.
That centerpiece on the table at Zest almost distracted me from your husband’s yummy looking hot chocolate. Thanks for sharing your lovely art, the garden center, your trip to Zest, and your husband’s hot chocolate with us for T this Tuesday. Now let’s hope this comment publishes!

I’m really pleased that your dad is home after such a big operation. Heart surgery is so advanced nowadays and he should be right as rain very soon. Give him my best wishes.
What a lovely festive journal page. A feast for the eye.
And that goarden item shop is a place I would love to browse. I can tell by just looking a the items that there is a staff member or owner who goes to a lot of trouble and effort to find really nice, unusual, unique things. I remember seeing your garden mushrooms, yes.
The flower arrangement outside Zest is beautiful.
Belated happy T-Day,
Lisca

I do like it, Jo! It’s a wonderful vintage look page. The gold stickers are perfect. You have the neatest supplies and always inspire me (plus add items to my wish list – grin).
I’m so glad to hear your dad is doing well. My mom had heart surgery in the 70s. I can relate. It’s pretty scary.
